Celebrating McDonald's Returns to Advertising Campaigns

August 26 2020, 22:57pm

After falling briefly silent during the lockdown times, McDonald's decided to reopen its restaurants. To mark the reopening of its restaurants, McDonald's is on the verge of launching a major new marketing campaign. The brand has decided to return to the high street following the closure of most of its restaurants during the Coronavirus lockdown. The 'welcome back' tag line of this famous brand shows that people are happily eating their McDonald's savories while enjoying their treat for the first time since it has reopened. The advertisement campaign concept starts with the theme of opening with a little girl who anxiously pressed up against a window, thus keenly watching for her Mc Delivery to arrive. This advertisement conveys the happiness that is spread among people with the return of the Mc Deals.

Re-launching of McDonald's Advertising Campaigns

This concept of the advertisement is shown through a range of people eating their McDonald's happily with satisfaction whether those are received through the drive-thru, takeaway or delivery feting to the sound of the song 'Return of the Mack' by Mark Morrison. The advertisements end with one woman's declaration that "I am so happy" while tucking into a big Mac. This advertising campaigning has been launched on 17th July 2020 and decided to run it across TV, social media, out-of-home, and radio for six long weeks.

The vice president of food and marketing in the UK and Ireland division of the McDonald's brand said that thinking back to the start of this financial year he never imagined the need for closing all their restaurants along with the switching of all the marketing campaigns due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic

Reopening the Takeaway Counters of McDonald's for the UK People

The return to national advertising of this brand celebrates those moments and rituals that their customers have spent the last four months while missing the McDonald's savories. It has been a moment of extreme happiness for the complete McDonald's team to return to satisfy the customers with a knowing nod to their little ways of enjoying their food. In March, McDonald's have shut all its restaurants due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. They are gradually on the verge of reopening all their restaurants in the UK with the lockdown restrictions' ease. From the mid of May, the brand has already restarted its delivery along with drive-thru. Their counters have also opened up for takeaway. After reopening, they are struggling to keep pace with high demand for the long queues as it has been running for reduced hours and menus. It has also been added by the vice president of food and marketing in the UK and Ireland division of McDonald's brand that their restaurant teams and franchises have worked tirelessly to get back to the communities in which they operate.
